The Industrial Centre of Particle Science and Engineering (ICPSE) and the University of Leeds and the Mineral Industry Research Organisation (MIRO) are developing a network of industrial and Academic researchers to engage material scientists and the mineral and metals mining and processing sectors in the UK

MiMeMiP is one of seven Sustainable Materials networks funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council

AIM

“..to stimulate and develop new strategies for sustainable practices and products
in the mineral, aggregates, metal mining and processing sectors”

This will be achieved through connecting different stakeholders, exchanging
good practice and through stimulation of new research collaboration

How The MiMeMiP Network Operates

MiMeMiP  commissions strategic reports and roadmaps to identify key issues of industrial relevance to the mining and mineral sector.
MiMeMiP arranges field visits to new industrial best practice and to educate its members.
MiMeMiP funds feasibility studies to explore new concepts for future research.
MiMeMiP issues newsletters featuring articles on key emerging issues.
MiMeMiP seeks to encourage secondments & work placements to broaden the experience of its members.
